SS 904L Plates represent a high-alloy, super-austenitic stainless steel grade specifically engineered for severe corrosive conditions. Originally developed to resist dilute sulfuric acid, Grade 904L features a sophisticated chemical composition including high levels of nickel (25%) and chromium, supplemented by molybdenum and copper. This unique combination provides exceptional resistance to a wide range of inorganic acids and ensures the material remains virtually immune to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking and crevice corrosion in harsh marine and chemical processing environments.

Produced in compliance with ASTM A240 and ASME SA240, these plates are non-magnetic in all conditions and offer excellent toughness and formability. The "L" designation signifies a low carbon content, which protects the material from intergranular corrosion during welding, making it ideal for the fabrication of complex, heavy-duty structures. From seawater cooling equipment and desalination plants to phosphate processing and oil refinery scrubbers, our SS 904L plates provide the ultimate protection for critical infrastructure where standard austenitic grades like 316L would typically fail.
