SS 410 Plates are the basic martensitic stainless steel plates designed to provide high mechanical properties, specifically hardness and strength, through heat treatment. Unlike austenitic grades, Grade 410 is a 12% chromium steel that can be hardened by quenching and tempering, making it the ideal choice for applications requiring high wear resistance and moderate corrosion resistance. These plates offer excellent stress-corrosion cracking resistance and are frequently utilized in environments where high strength and resistance to scaling at elevated temperatures are essential.

Manufactured to ASTM A240 and ASME SA240 standards, SS 410 plates perform exceptionally well in mildly corrosive environments, such as those found in steam and gas turbine components, petroleum refining, and power generation. In the annealed condition, the material is ductile and can be easily formed or machined, but it achieves its maximum corrosion resistance only after being hardened and polished. Whether used for valve parts, pump shafts, or industrial fasteners, our SS 410 plates provide a cost-effective, high-strength solution with reliable performance up to temperatures of 650°C.
