S550MC Plates represent the upper tier of high-strength structural steels designed specifically for weight-optimized engineering. Produced in accordance with the EN 10149-2 standard, these plates deliver a high minimum yield strength of 550 MPa. The "MC" designation identifies them as Thermomechanically Rolled (M), a sophisticated manufacturing process that uses precise temperature control during rolling to refine the grain structure. This process ensures that the steel maintains the high ductility necessary for Cold Forming (C), allowing manufacturers to execute sharp bends and intricate pressing without compromising the structural integrity of the material.
