IRSM-41-97 Plates are specialized high-strength, low-alloy (HSLA) corrosion-resistant steels manufactured strictly according to the Indian Railway Standard (IRS). Often referred to as "Railway Corten," this grade is specifically designed to combat the aggressive environmental conditions faced by rail infrastructure. The micro-alloying of copper, phosphorus, and chromium allows the material to develop a stable protective oxide layer upon exposure to the atmosphere.
