ASME SA387 Grade 11 Plates are high-quality Chromium-Molybdenum alloy steel plates, commonly referred to as 1.25Cr-0.5Mo. This specific grade is a foundational material for the petrochemical and power generation sectors, engineered to bridge the gap between carbon steel and high-alloy materials. The addition of 1.25% Chromium provides essential resistance to oxidation and chemical corrosion at intermediate temperatures, while the 0.5% Molybdenum ensures the material maintains its structural strength and resists thermal creep during long-term service in industrial boilers and pressure vessels.

These plates are available in two distinct heat-treated levels: Class 1 and Class 2. While Class 1 offers superior ductility for complex fabrication, Class 2 is optimized for higher tensile and yield strength, allowing for thinner wall designs in high-pressure environments. SA387 Grade 11 is particularly valued for its resistance to hydrogen embrittlement and its ability to withstand thermal fatigue, making it the industry standard for heat exchangers, process separators, and reactor shells. Its excellent weldability and reliable performance under pressure make it an indispensable choice for infrastructure operating in aggressive, heat-intensive environments.
