Q & T 700 Plates are ultra-high-strength structural steels that have been heat-treated through a precise Quenching and Tempering process to achieve a minimum yield strength of 700 MPa. This specialized thermal cycle involves heating the steel to an austenitic phase followed by rapid cooling (quenching) to create a hard martensitic structure, which is then reheated (tempered) to restore toughness and ductility. The result is a material that is nearly three times stronger than conventional S235 structural steel, enabling the construction of high-performance components that can withstand extreme mechanical loads.

Designed for weight-critical engineering, Quenched and Tempered 700 steel allows for a significant reduction in plate thickness without compromising structural integrity.
