ASTM A182 F317 Stainless Steel Flanges are specialized high-alloy piping components engineered to offer enhanced resistance to chemical attack and localized corrosion. Produced in strict conformance with ASTM A182 and ASME SA182 standards, these forged flanges are crafted from grade 317 austenitic stainless steel. With an increased chromium (18% to 20%), nickel (11% to 15%), and molybdenum (3% to 4%) composition, these flanges deliver considerably higher resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking compared to standard 304 or 316 variants.
Our advanced manufacturing units provide a complete line of ASTM A182 F317 slip-on, weld neck, blind, threaded, and socket weld flanges. Available in all primary pressure classes from Class 150 to Class 2500, these high-molybdenum flanges are precision machined using state-of-the-art CNC tools to ensure accurate seating surfaces. They are extensively utilized in flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems, pulp and paper processing, chemical reactors, explosive manufacturing plants, and critical pharmaceutical piping where lines handle highly corrosive chloride or sulfur-bearing fluids.
