2205 Duplex Steel Flanges are composed of a nitrogen-enhanced stainless steel alloy that combines the best properties of both ferritic and austenitic steels. This dual-phase microstructure, designated as UNS S31803 and UNS S32205, provides a high level of strength that is nearly double that of standard austenitic stainless steels, along with superior resistance to localized corrosion. Specifically engineered for the demanding environments of the Middle East, these flanges excel in high-chloride conditions common in coastal desalination plants and offshore oil rigs.
Our Duplex 2205 weld neck, slip-on, blind, and lap joint flanges are forged in accordance with ASTM A182 standards to ensure maximum durability and pressure-containment reliability. The 22% Chromium, 3% Molybdenum, and 5-6% Nickel content provides excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, while also offering high resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking (SCC). Widely utilized across Saudi Arabia's oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors, these flanges provide a cost-effective, long-life solution for systems handling sour gas, seawater, and aggressive chemical processing.
