ASTM B564 Hastelloy C22 Flanges are manufactured from a versatile nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy, known for its superior resistance to a broad range of aggressive chemical environments. Classified under the UNS N06022 designation, Hastelloy C22 provides better overall resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress-corrosion cracking than other nickel-base alloys like C-276 and Alloy 625. It is particularly effective in resisting both oxidizing and reducing media, including wet chlorine, formic and acetic acids, and ferric or cupric chlorides.
Our Hastelloy C22 weld neck, slip-on, blind, and lap joint flanges are produced in compliance with ASTM B564 forging standards and ASME B16.5 dimensional specifications. The high chromium content of the alloy provides excellent resistance to oxidizing media, while the molybdenum and tungsten content aid in resistance to reducing environments. These flanges are widely utilized in waste-water treatment, chemical processing, and pharmaceutical industries due to their exceptional weldability and resistance to the formation of grain-boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone, ensuring long-term reliability in highly corrosive service.
