ASTM B564 Hastelloy X Flanges are manufactured from a nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum alloy that is renowned for its exceptional strength and oxidation resistance at high temperatures. Designated as UNS N06002, Hastelloy X is a solid-solution-strengthened material that maintains excellent structural integrity even when exposed to temperatures up to 2200°F (1200°C). Unlike many other high-temperature alloys, it also exhibits outstanding resistance to carburizing and nitriding environments, making these flanges a critical choice for high-heat industrial applications.
Our Hastelloy X weld neck, slip-on, blind, and socket weld flanges are produced under strict ASTM B564 forging standards to ensure a dense, uniform grain structure that withstands thermal shock. The alloy’s unique chemistry provides a high degree of resistance to stress-corrosion cracking in petrochemical applications and maintains superior weldability with a low tendency toward hot cracking. These flanges are widely utilized in gas turbine engines, chemical process components, and industrial furnace applications where long-term durability under extreme thermal cycling is required.
