254 SMO Pipe Fittings are premium high-alloy components engineered from a 6-moly super-austenitic stainless steel. Specifically designed to handle highly aggressive chloride environments, these line components are produced in strict accordance with ASTM A403 and ASME SA403 standards. With a chemical composition featuring elevated levels of molybdenum, chromium, and nitrogen, 254 SMO buttweld fittings deliver nearly double the strength of standard 300-series stainless steels while offering exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking, localized pitting, and crevice corrosion.
Our comprehensive manufacturing program offers a full range of critical piping components, including 254 SMO elbows, tees, reducers, stub ends, and caps. These are available in both seamless and welded configurations to fit precise pipeline requirements. Due to their outstanding mechanical integrity and corrosion resistance, these fittings are extensively used in seawater handling equipment, desalination plants, bleach plants in the pulp industry, and offshore oil and gas production facilities.
